The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 21st annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglsville on Saturday, October 21st from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year. Join us for the Children’s Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, this year we are adding an adult costume contest. Sponsored by John Bleakley Ford, Georgia Power and Chapel Hill News and Views.

The 3rd annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Craft show at Hunter Park will be held on October 28, 2017 from 11 am-5 pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro Atlanta with varying arts and crafts items. Over 40 vendors are expected to attend. The fall festival will also include multiple play areas that all the family can enjoy (carnival wristband $3). All festival attendees are encouraged to wear costumes. 5th Annual Douglasville Comic Book and Toy Convention is happening November 11th at 3858 Kings hwy, Douglasville,Georgia. The event is expected to bring over 400 attendees. With the growing popularity of comic book movies and television shows, there will be something for seasoned collectors as well as people that are new to the hobby. The event will also be family friendly and people are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume. We have been featured on Atlanta Plugged in on CBS Channel 46 as well as local Douglasville stations. Admission will be 5 dollars at the door, children 3 and under and free.
