ArtFEST is celebrating its 10th year! Each year, 40+ artists display thousands of works at ArtFEST, and 2,000 – 3,000 art enthusiasts and buyers attend. Check out beautiful paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels and mixed media. Love photography? We have that, too. Delight in stunning drawings, pottery, sculpture, woodcarving and jewelry. This art festival features artists and live entertainment from around Georgia. For our younger audience, have fun at our KidZone. Food vendors will be on-site, or you may eat at one of our many family-owned eateries in downtown – all within walking distance. ArtFEST is free to the public.

Join Beyond the Front Porch as we visit one of the top-rated aquariums in America that offers a journey through two buildings loaded with things to do and engaging experiences on Chattanooga’s beautiful downtown riverfront. River Journey fascinates visitors with river otters, turtles, alligators, giant catfish and thousands of freshwater wonders. Ocean Journey delights guests with penguins, sharks, butterflies and often scuba divers who interact with guests. This activity, transportation and lunch is FREE for students on free/reduced lunch and $25 for all others.

We host 3 on 3, double elimination, basketball tournaments that take place at outdoor public areas. We cater to youth ages 8-18. Each team of 3-5 players’ battle through a series of double elimination rounds with the top teams in each division receiving trophies at the end of the day. The divisions are broken down by age (8-11, 12-14, & 15-18) the tournament is coed and we highly encourage girl participation. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, meal, and drink. The director and staff of the tournament have a passion for basketball and outdoor activities for youth. We promote physical fitness activities for youth. The tournament is FREE to all students ages 8-18. Please also pass the word to students and people that want to volunteer. Join Beyond the Front Porch as our students explore a 120,000 square foot museum located in Cartersville, Georgia, where guests are invited to See America’s Story through contemporary Western artwork, a Presidential Gallery, Civil War art gallery, and Sagebrush Ranch, an interactive children’s gallery. This Smithsonian Affiliate Institution has been open since August 2003, Booth Museum is the only museum of its kind in the Southeast and is the second largest art museum in the state of Georgia.
