The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 22nd annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglsville on Saturday, October 20th from 6-9 p.m.  Those in attendance are encouraged to dress in costume! As they will host a costume contest at the end of the night! Free admission and open to the public. $1 to taste $3 for a bowl of chili $1 drinks $2 hot dogs. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.

The 4th annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts & Craft show at Hunter Park will be held on October 27, 2018 from 12pm-4pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro ATL with varying arts & crafts and food and beverage items. Over 40 vendors are expected to attend. The festival will also include a children’s play zone featuring inflatables and other amenities for $5. Children 3 and under are free inside the play zone. All festival attendees are encouraged to wear costumes. This event is free and open to the public. Vendor fees are $25 per vendor. Vendors must have approval before paying. The second annual Ultimate Easter Adventure! This year we are bringing you thousands of eggs, and three different egg hunts. The first egg hunt of the morning will be for ages 5 and under. The second Easter egg hunt will be for ages 6 through 12. The third egg hunt is a special devilishly difficult adults only egg hunt in the afternoon. All of the Easter egg hunts are free. The afternoon adult only hunt requires registration, but, is free too. Bring the kids down for photos with the Easter Bunny and his friends. This art festival features artists and live entertainment from around Georgia. For our younger audience, have fun at our KidZone. Food vendors will be on-site, or you may eat at one of our many family-owned eateries in downtown – all within walking distance. ArtFEST is free to the public.
