Join us as we celebrate Summer in the South Exhibit with artwork featuring Carl Olson, Melody Chambers, Charlise Sprewell, and Ashley Chambers. The exhibit opens on Thursday, May 9th and will remain on view through June 27th. Hosted by the Sweetwater Camera Club, the Opening Reception will be held Thursday, May 9th, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Council. Gallery admission, tour, and reception are always free. Special gallery tours are also available by calling the CAC to schedule an appointment – 770.949.2787.

Camp FUNtastic is a fun safe place for every child to enjoy. We offer various activities including weekly field trips, STEM day, arts & crafts, and much much more! Digital Media Camp @ Ike Owing Community Center at Hunter Park
Looking for a fun, interesting, and unique opportunity for your child this Summer? Well look no further. The Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Digital Media Camp at the Ike Owings Community Center. The participants of the program are afforded the opportunity to learn Mass Media basics and skills on how to operate a video camera. Participant will also learn how to create commercials, edit videos, and create flyers while gaining an understanding of the importance of reach, target audience, and demographics. Campers will visit local TV stations and take advantage of a behind the scene look at the television broadcasting. The camp is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10-14.
