It’s that time of the year! School will be out before you know it. Still haven’t made plans for kiddos? Looking for a fun camp? Well look no further, we’ve got you covered! Camp FUNtastic is a fun safe place for every child to enjoy. We offer various activities including weekly field trips, STEM day, arts & crafts, and much much more!

Our weekly rate is only $65 per camper with $5 sibling discount! Don’t wait slots are filling up fast!!

Looking for a fun, interesting, and unique opportunity for your child this Summer? Well look no further. The Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Digital Media Camp at the Ike Owings Community Center. The participants of the program are afforded the opportunity to learn Mass Media basics and skills on how to operate a video camera. Participant will also learn how to create commercials, edit videos, and create flyers while gaining an understanding of the importance of reach, target audience, and demographics. Campers will visit local TV stations and take advantage of a behind the scene look at the television broadcasting. The camp is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10-14.

Join Beyond the Front Porch as we tour a series of underground geologic caves with a sound, light and water show located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Childersburg, AL. For an additional cost students can participate in amusement park attractions including the Lost Trail Maze, gemstone panning, wall climbing and more. This activity, transportation and lunch is FREE for students on free/reduced lunch and $25 for all others.

Join Beyond the Front Porch as we embark on a daylong adventure designed to introduce visitors to the dramatic history of space exploration, from early spaceflight to the shuttle program and beyond! We will visit the Museum, Shuttle Park, and Rocket Park, have access to Public Simulators. This activity, transportation and lunch is FREE for students on free/reduced lunch and $25 for all others.

The zoo is home to the nation’s largest zoological collections of gorillas and orangutans and is one of only four zoos in the U.S. currently housing giant pandas.
