How are robotics being used for art making in innovative schools? STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math) artist, Jeff Mather, shares the behind-the-scenes stories – with images – from a bunch of recent art projects that have included robotics.
This is a FREE, family-friendly event!

Spring Break Arts Camp 2019 @ Deer Lick Park

The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County in partnership with the Douglas County Department of Parks and Recreation offers a full week of art exploration during spring break. When school is out for a week, why not have your child experience something fun, exciting and educational.

The Spring Break Arts Camp takes place April 8th – 12th, 2019 from 9:00 -4:00pm daily at Deer Lick Park.

At the 2019 Spring Break Arts Camp children (7-11) years old will explore performing and visual arts with (4) experienced teaching artists to a set theme. On the final evening – April 12th, the campers will share with family and friends an original performance and an exhibit of their artwork at the “Celebration of Success”.

River Journey fascinates visitors with river otters, turtles, alligators, giant catfish and thousands of freshwater wonders. Ocean Journey delights guests with penguins, sharks, butterflies and often scuba divers who interact with guests. Join Beyond the Front Porch as our students explore a 120,000 square foot museum located in Cartersville, Georgia, where guests are invited to See America’s Story through contemporary Western artwork, a Presidential Gallery, Civil War art gallery, and Sagebrush Ranch, an interactive children’s gallery. This Smithsonian Affiliate Institution has been open since August 2003, Booth Museum is the only museum of its kind in the Southeast and is the second largest art museum in the state of Georgia.
